We raised $820 to help people get the documents they need to access jobs and housing. Your generosity makes a real difference in people's lives!
Many people looking for work and housing face barriers when they do not have copies of their birth certificates, Social Security cards, or driver's license. Hope Restores helps people get their documents replaced, but there are fees at many of the agencies that issue these vital personal documents. It costs about $60 per person to get multiple copies of different documents so they can apply for work and housing. In 2021, Hope Restores helped 38 people get documents!
Each year we participate in the national #GivingTuesday fundraising campaign to raise money projects. In 2020 we raised over $1200 for the Black Empowerment Fund at the La Crosse Community Foundation.
